Legally pronounced

A legal pronouncement of death must be declared. If your loved one dies inside of a medical or nursing facility or hospice the staff will handle getting this declaration made. If your loved one dies at home, you need to immediately contact the local emergency officials to come and take them to a hospital where they can be legally declared dead. This legal declaration must be made before the family can proceed with making any funeral arrangements or handling any legal affairs.

About Springville

Springville sits at the foot of the Wasatch Range, just south of Provo along the I-15 corridor. Known statewide as "Art City," it is home to the Springville Museum of Art — Utah's oldest visual fine arts museum — and hosts long-standing community traditions like Art City Days each June and the World Folkfest each July. With a population of around 35,000, Springville has grown steadily while maintaining a strong sense of identity rooted in family, community, and the natural landscape surrounding it. Hobble Creek Canyon offers residents easy access to trails, recreation, and mountain scenery just minutes from town.

It's the kind of community where people put down roots — and where a local, family-owned business like Just Cremations & Funerals fits naturally.

Click on the questions below to reveal each respective answer.

  • How do I arrange funeral or cremation services from Springville?

You can begin online at just-cremation.com or call (801) 310-9700 at any time. After you select a package, a member of the Just Cremations & Funerals team will reach out to guide you through the necessary paperwork and scheduling. The entire process can be completed without leaving home.

  • Does Just Cremations & Funerals serve families in Springville?

Our packages are designed to be able to add a multiple of options. You may upgrade your urn options or purchase additional DVDs or USB thumb drives of tribute videos. A selection of memorial items are available to you once you select to purchase the package that best fits your needs.

  • What if my loved one passes away at home?

If your loved one passes at home, contact local emergency services so a legal pronouncement of death can be made at a medical facility. Once that declaration is in place, Just Cremations & Funerals can take over and guide your family through the next steps. Families under hospice care can have the pronouncement made by hospice staff.

  • Are burial options available, not just cremation?

Yes. Just Cremations & Funerals is committed to transparent, all-in pricing. What you see online is what you pay — there are no hidden fees or surprise charges. If you have questions about what's included in any package, the team is happy to walk you through every detail.

  • Can I pre-plan arrangements for myself in Springville?

Absolutely. Pre-planning is something the Walkers encourage for any family in Utah County. They will personally walk you through service options, financing, and aftercare documentation so your wishes are recorded and your loved ones are protected.
