Obituary

Ronald R. Lewis, a father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend, leaves behind a legacy defined by love, family, faith, and a lifetime of cherished memories.

Ron was the son of Edwin S. Lewis and Rhea Haslem Lewis. He grew up in Orem, Utah, and graduated from Orem High School.

Ron married Michelle Naugle and together they built a blended and loving family. He was a devoted father to his two bonus children, Timothy (Bonnie) Parker and Amy (Brent) Rouse, whom he loved as his own.

Later, Ron and Michelle welcomed two daughters, Shannon (Carson) Thorpe and Andrea (Logan) Sims. Although they later went their separate ways, they remained united in their love and commitment to their children.

His children were among the greatest loves of his life.

Ron was a proud grandfather to 15 grandchildren, who brought him immense joy;

Tristen Harding, Treyton Harding, Alex Zink, Aldon Parker, Asa Emma Zink-Harding, Natalie Rouse, Ethan Rouse, Derrick Rouse, Benjamin Rouse, Hannah Rouse, Kylar Thorpe, Makinlee Thorpe, Quinston Thorpe, Kenedii Thorpe, and Alan Sims.

For many years, Ron worked at The Mending Shed in Orem, where he shared his remarkable gift for repairing nearly anything. He especially loved working with clocks and became known for his patience, precision, and ability to restore treasured timepieces to life.

The Mending Shed was more than a workplace to Ron it was a second home, and his coworkers became his extended family.

Ron lived with rheumatoid arthritis from the time he was a young boy, carrying the challenges and pain of the disease throughout his life. Yet, he never allowed it to take away his joy, his sense of humor, or his love for the people and things that mattered most to him.

He faced each day with quiet strength and determination, continuing to work, create, serve, and care for others.

His resilience was truly inspiring. Those who knew Ron saw in him an example of how to face difficult things with courage, grace, and a grateful heart. His strength was not always loud or spoken about it was simply woven into the way he lived his life.

Ron was known for his dry humor. His quick wit often caught others by surprise and left behind countless moments of quiet laughter and fond remembrance.

His humor was a defining and deeply endearing part of who he was.

Family was at the center of Ron’s life. He loved his brothers dearly and held a particularly special place in his heart for his favorite sister, Bonnie.

Some of his happiest moments were spent simply being together, sharing time, and building lasting memories with those he loved.

Ron also carried a deep curiosity about the world around him. He enjoyed photography, fast cars, nature, trees, birds, and even Sasquatch.

He found joy in observing life’s details and sharing the things that fascinated him with others.

One of his favorite places was the family cabin which was his happy place. Surrounded by nature and the people he loved most, it was a place of peace, laughter, and lasting memories that his family will always treasure.

Ron was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved his Savior, Jesus Christ. His faith was a steady and meaningful part of his life and brought comfort in times of challenge.

He will be remembered for his ability to fix almost anything, his love of clocks, his dry and gentle humor, his curiosity about the world, and most of all, his deep and unwavering love for his family.

His legacy lives on through the lessons he taught, the laughter he shared, and the memories he created.

Ron will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
