Obituary

Robert Robby Paul Conover fell asleep in death on July 31, 2024. Robby will be missed, but only for a short time. He believed in the Bibles promise that he will wake from his sleep to a beautiful new earth where "there will be no more death, sorrow, or pain" (Rev. 21:4). Robby was born in 1949 to Pete and Erma Conover in San Diego, CA. He was raised in Utah, where he developed a lifelong passion for the outdoors. He loved skiing, water sports, hiking, camping, hunting, and fishing, and he enjoyed these activities with friends and family until his death. Robbys creativity knew no bounds. Whether through music, dancing, art, or woodworking, he expressed himself with a talent that inspired those around him. Most recently, he enjoyed crafting delicate hummingbirds and sturdy walking sticks from the cedar trees surrounding the familys property. Robby was a beacon of positivity, kindness, and compassion, often accompanied by a touch of playful humor and the ability to MacGyver anything. He earned lifelong friendships everywhere he went, and his presence was felt and cherished by all who knew him. Robbys positivity and resilience helped him navigate lifes challenges with grace. Above all, he was defined by his loving kindness, strong faith in Jehovah God, and his love for people. Robby is survived by his wife, Debbie; their children, Julie (spouse Marc; children Tyler and Maggie), Marci (children Colter, Ivan, Zaria, Spencer, and George Jr.), Doug, Machell (spouse Danny; children Ashley and Travis), Mike (spouse Cassie); and his honorary son, nephew Travis. He is also survived by his mother, Erma Conover, and his siblings: brother Kevin, and sisters Kristie and Leslie (spouse Bill). Robby was preceded in death by his father, Peter W. Conover. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at the Sterling Town Hall, 75 N 100 W, Sterling, Utah, 84665. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the love and support they have received during this difficult time.
