Merilyn Davis Truxal-Hamburg,83, of Utah passed away peacefully in the loving care of family on May 19, 2025. She was born in Indiana, Pa in 1941 and lived most of her life in Greensburg. An undergraduate of IUP, she earned her Doctorate in Early Childhood Education Administration and was formerly the owner of Truxal Learning Center in Greensburg. She also taught Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh. Many church and community activities kept her busy, but her real passions were family and traveling the world. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Pauline Davis; her brother, David Davis; and her son-in-law, David Ward. She is survived by her sister Joyce Burkett (Richard), sister-in-law Mary Grandelis, and daughters Tracy Bulgarelli (Lenny) of Plum, and Jennifer Truxal Ward of Utah. Merilyn was the grandmother of Eric (Jess) Yocca, Alan (Jessica) Yocca, Luke Yocca, Kira Kiggins, Kasey Kiggins, T.R. Ward (Bryly), and Rebecca Ward. She was the great-grandmother of Ava Yocca and Sophie Salmond. Merilyn requested to be cremated. Her family will hold a private memorial at a later time.
