IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeff David
Geer
June 28, 1966 – October 4, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jeff David Geer, who left this earth on October 4, 2025, at the age of 59.
Born on June 28, 1966, Jeff lived a life marked by growth, resilience, and unconditional love for the family he built alongside his wife, Linda. In his early years, he found purpose and creativity as a chef—a profession that reflected his hands-on spirit and passion for bringing people together. He later built a successful career as an Associate Broker at Coldwell Banker Realty alongside Linda, where they formed lasting relationships and earned the trust of many coworkers and clients.
Jeff was a man of many interests. In his younger years, he found peace and joy through playing the guitar—an art he cherished throughout his life and passed to his son Skylar a talented country singer- songwriter. He also loved fly fishing, often rising with the sun to find solace in the rivers and creeks of Utah. As time passed and his body no longer allowed him to tame the waters, Jeff traded his fishing poles for golf clubs. His love for the outdoors carried over to the golf course, where he found friendship, focus, fun—and another "F" word best left unsaid.
One of Jeff's most profound personal achievements was his sobriety. In February 2019, with the love and support of his family, he made the courageous decision to get sober—a journey he embraced fully and proudly. At the time of his passing, Jeff was just a few months shy of seven years sober. He adorned his legs with musical tattoos as reminders to stay the course, maintain his strength, and honor his commitment. His journey left an enduring example of hope and perseverance for all who knew him.
Jeff was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 wonderful years, Linda; their son Skylar and daughter-in-law Angela; his stepdaughter Michele and son-in-law Matthew; and his grandchildren Aysha, Trinity, and Xavier—who were the light of his life and the source of his deepest pride.
Jeff is also survived by his parents, Bill and Judy Geer of Montana, his brother, Jason Geer. He is preceded by his sister Kyle.
Even in death, Jeff chose to give. As an organ donor, he was able to save and improve the lives of many—a final act of generosity that speaks volumes about the man he was.
Jeff's presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His laughter, stories, steady hand, and loving heart will continue to live on in the memories of those fortunate enough to have known him.
The family will hold a celebration of life at a private residence 12253 So Nicklaus Rd Sandy Utah on Sunday October 19th from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
In his memory, they encourage all who knew him to spend time with loved ones, find joy in the little things, and live your true self.
